After protecting the citizens of Tiffin for 17 years on the Tiffin Police Department, Roger continues to protect their assets and lives through a wide selection of insurance services through his agency. He began as a patrolman and the served the last 7 years as a detective in the juvenile division. Along with his other duties he initiated and gave child safety programs in the Tiffin City Schools for grades K-5.
Since entering the insurance industry in 1987, he has been recognized by The National Association of Health Underwriters as a Leading Producer Round Table recipient for 12 years straight. He served as president of the Northwest Ohio Association of Health Underwriters, and was also a past president of the Sandusky River Basin Life Underwriters.
Roger is married to Pauline, a teacher at Clinton Elementary. His daughter Kari and her family now live in Gahanna, Ohio and his son, Kyle is working within the agency. Roger and Pauline now enjoy spending time with their three grandchildren.
Roger's community involvement has included serving as PTO president and Music Boosters Chairperson. He also coached youth baseball for 10 years in the county league and Babe Ruth league. He is also very active in his church, First Presbyterian Church of Tiffin. Roger Smith Insurance Agency also gives to many charities including The United Way, Ritz Theater, American Cancer Society Relay for Life, Community Hospice, Seneca Kruisers, and many others.

Betty joined Roger Smith Insurance Agency in 1988. She has been the office manager as well as a property & casualty agent. Her friendly personality, professional manner, and vast knowledge of the insurance industry are important assets to both the agency and our clients.
Betty is married with three daughters. She was also active in PTO while her daughters were in school. She now enjoys the company of her three grandchildren.
Not only does Betty possess great communication skills and insurance knowledge, she is also creatively gifted as an artist. Check out some of her oil paintings that are in our office next time you stop by.

After studying finance and marketing at Bluffton College, Kyle began his insurance career within his father’s agency in 1999. He's experienced and licensed agent for property & casualty, life & health insurance and annuities. He is also ahead of the agency technology and marketing departments.
Kyle and his family have been life long residents of Tiffin. He and his wife Bridget just recently welcomed a new addition to their family. In the spring of 2005 their first child, a daughter was born.

Karen has been working in insurance since 1982. She has experience and is licensed in all lines of insurance and has recently joined Roger Smith Insurance Agency in early 2005. She is married and has 2 children, who both graduate in 2005. Besides work and family Karen is also involved in children’s ministries and other outreach programs in her church, Christ Church at Tiffin.
