Chase Insurance Life and Annuity is one of the JP Morgan Chase group of companies, and commenced business in 1968 as Federal Kemper Life Assurance Company. In 1996, Federal Kemper entered into an agreement for its acquisition by an investor group led by Zurich Insurance Company, Zurich, Switzerland. Zurich Life was acquired by Bank One in 2003, and by JP Morgan Chase in 2004.
